Fikayo Tomori was an unused substitute in two of England's European qualifiers against Czech Republic and Bulgaria. The Chelsea man has been a revelation for the blues this season, winning the trust of head coach Frank lampard and securing a regular starter's shirt for the PL side. There's been huge controversy and speculation surrounding his choice of Nationality , either to feature for Nigeria or England but the 21 years old decided to choose England after given a call-up by head coach South-gate of which he claimed he got a call-up first from the European Nation.
After two games played, the Chelsea youngster was overlooked by the coach and was made to watch from the sidelines, and this has raised serous discussion about what the country holds for him in the nearest future. Many believes he wouldn't get enough playing time and might not be an integral part of the 3lions squad.
Well, going by the rules governing the game, Fikayo can still make a switch to Nigeria since he hasn't been given any minutes which automatically makes him eligible to feature for a different country.

In his case, a switch is very unlikely, though possible but the process is extremely complicated. According to FIFA ,"any player who has already participated in a match (either in full or in part) in an official competition of any category or any type of football for one association may not play an international match for a representative team of another association."
