Ahead of Victor Osimhen's expected move away from France, Napoli Striker Dries Mertens has stated that Osimhen is the type of footballer his club needs.


Mertens made it clear that before Osimhen Moved to France to play for Lille, he has heard about  his tremendous performance at Sporting Charleroi where he recorded 20 goals and 4 assists in 36 Appearances. Mertens Further Confessed that Victor Osimhen would be a good addition to the Current Napoli squad.


"My friends from Charleroi told me how well he played before going to France," 

"I don't know if he will come, but in any case, he is precisely the type of footballer that Napoli needs." Mertens told Il Mattino as reported on GOAL


 According to Several reports, Victor Osimhen's move to Napoli would cost the Partenopei a Whooping €80m which would ultimately make him Nigeria's Player with the Highest Transfer Value.

Osimhen Appeared 38 times for Lille this season, scoring 18 goals and setting up 6 others in all competitions. He was recently Named the Best African Player in France, Clinching the Award Ahead of Algerian Islam Slimani, becoming only the second Nigerian After Vincent Enyeama to have won the Prestigious prize.

Lille Recently unveiled an 18 year old Striker who is Expected to Take Over From Osimhen.
