Akwa United Emerges Champions of the Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL 2020/21 season after Defeating MFM FC 5-2.

The Uyo based Club wins their First Ever NPFL Trophy since founded in 1996. A Hattrick of Goals from top Striker Atshimene Ensures that the Dream of winning the NPFL becomes a reality.
Fans were allowed into the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo to witness the Historical event. The Governor of Akwa Ibom, Udom Emmanuel was Also Present at the Stadium.  




Apart from Just the Trophy presentation, the Money Prize Attached to winning the NPFL is Absolutely Mouthwatering.

How Much will Akwa United get for winning the NPFL?

Akwa United FC is entitled to a Whooping 75 Million Naira for Emerging Champions of the NPFL.

As things stands, Nassarawa United and Enyimba FC are currently occupying the 2nd and 3rd Position respectively but could well be kicked out of those position if they fail to get the maximum point needed to sustain them.


The 2nd Position is entitled to 50, Million Naira while the 3rd position takes home 35 Million Naira.
