Since 2020 when Bruno Fernandes signed for Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon, the Portuguese has assumed responsibilities for United's Freekick and Penalties. The 26 years old has justified his selection as United's set Piece taker with some Great Goals from the spot and outside the Box.
With the Introduction of Cristiano Ronaldo into the United Set-up, the Question is Now whether Bruno Fernandes would continue as the Penalty and Freekick taker or the Responsibility would be given to Cristiano Ronaldo who is an Expert in set Pieces especially from the Penalty Spot.
Rio Ferdinand in a Live Broadcast has Given his own candid opinion on whom should take Penalties and Freekicks. The English Man prefers Bruno Fernades as the Freekick taker while Penalty duties should be shifted to Cristiano Ronaldo.
"I think Bruno gives up the penalties, but doesn't relinquish free-kicks and corners — unless he doesn't take corners. Free-kicks around the box, he's going to be on them I think." Rio Ferdinand said.
"I think he will be. His record demands that he should do that. I think he [Ronaldo] takes the penalties, 100 per cent, they agree to give him the penalties, but free-kicks around the box I think Bruno is wiping the ball down and taking it from there."

"Bruno sees the bigger picture; 'This guy can get us over the line to win trophies'.
"If that means his percentage of goal involvements goes down, but gets his hands on a big trophy, I know that he would take that all-day long." He concluded.
