Ahead of the Much Anticipated European World Cup Play-Off Games coming up with March 2022, Italian Defender; Leonardo Bonucci has Fired a warning to Portuguese Striker, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Both Portugal and Italy Missed out on an Automatic Qualification for the World Cup in 2022 and both Nations would now have to go through the playoff phases for a chance to Book a place at the world's Most Prestigious tournament.

Portugal in Group A of the World Cup Qualifiers were Drawn alongside Serbia, Ireland, Azerbaijan and Luxembourg. Surprisingly the Portuguese team failed to qualify Automatically from the group After suffering a Last Minute Heartbreak against Serbia in their Final group stage Game. Serbia Overtook Portugal into First Position and booked their Place for the Tournament which Comes up Next Year.

Italy as well were given the shock of their lives in Group C after 2 Consecutive Draws in their 9th and Final Game of the World Cup Qualifiers against Switzerland and North Macedonia respectively. The Italian finished 2nd behind Switzerland at First Position.

Portugal and Italy have Now been Drawn in the same world cup Playoff Path which means one of them Will not be participating in the Tournament Next Year.

Italy starts Their Playoffs Campaign against North Macedonia on the 24th of March while Portugal begins theirs against Turkey on the same day. If Both teams Win their respective games, then they go head to head for a spot at the Prestigious tournament in Qatar, 2022. 

Speaking Ahead of the Much Anticipated encounter, Ronaldo's Former team mate at Juventus; Leonardo Bonucci has Fired a straight warning to Cristiano Ronaldo stating that the players Should be expecting some Knocks.
"I heard Cristiano Ronaldo and we joked about the possible Portugal vs Italy match, we'll see what happens on the pitch, Cristiano knows he will suffer some blows," he told Rai Sport.

"We have to concentrate on what we will do on the pitch, then in March we will meet again and I am convinced that we will play two great matches."

Portugal and Italy are just two of the 12 teams fighting for 3 Extra World Cup Spots for European Countries. Others Includes Scotland, Ukraine, Wales, Austria, Russia, Poland, Sweden, Czech Republic, North Macedonia and Turkey.
