Ronaldo, a Brazilian who Started his professional Football career with Cruzeiro in 1993 has now returned to the club as a massive shareholder, owning 90% stake in the Club which he acquired for €62m
An excerpt of Ronaldo's Comment from the Official Statement reads:
“Very happy to have completed this operation. I want to say that I have a lot to give back to Cruzeiro, to get Cruzeiro where it deserves to be." Ronaldo said
We have a lot of work ahead of us. I ask the fans to reconnect with the team, to go to the stadium, because we are going to need a lot of strength and unity,"
The 45 Years old Former Ballon D'or Winner adds up Cruzeiro as his Second Investment after buying 51% stake at Spanish Top-flight Club, Real Valladolid in 2018 for a fee reported to be €30m.
We can recall Vividly that on the day of his presentation as a Majority owner of Valladolid, the Prolific Striker revealed his plan for the club, he said:
"I have gone through many stages in my training in football to prepare for this. Football is all about passion."
"We want to build the best team possible to compete while also giving information about our management with transparency."
Cruzeiro are currently Competing in the Second tier of Brazilian Football, Finishing 14th in the 2021 Season.
Delima Ronaldo would also be hoping to Get Cruzeiro Back to the summit of Brazilian Football.
