Once the 2025–26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season came to a close, Kwara United FC began their end-of-season break.
In the 2025–26 NPFL season, the Harmony Boys were in sixteenth place and narrowly avoided relegation on the last day of play. Like Sokoto United, Kwara United lost in the round of 32 of the 2026 President Federation Cup.
A statement signed by Chairman Kumbi Titiloye and released by the club’s media department on Thursday announced the off-season hiatus for the Ilorin-based team.
The announcement claims that next weekend, the team will begin early preparations for the 2026–27 season by screening and testing potential players.
Following the Annual General Meeting (AGM), both the current and freshly chosen players are anticipated to start pre-season training.
