After Brazil was eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, legendary player Ronaldo Nazario placed the blame on head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
After Erling Haaland scored twice, Norway advanced to Sunday’s Round of 16 match and eliminated Brazil.
Even though Ancelotti lost 2-1, Ronaldo was still not happy with his decision-making and felt the former Real Madrid manager had made too many blunders.
To paraphrase Ronaldo, “I think this elimination started with decisions made on the coaching bench,” he told Dario AS.
Ancelotti is up there with the greatest football coaches of all time, but he messed up too much tonight.
“João Pedro has been performing superbly, so I still don’t get why he wasn’t in the squad,” he continued. Consider Endrick: he has been a constant source of aggression, energy, and unpredictability throughout his FIFA World Cup appearances, yet he has been benched for the vast majority of games. It is beyond my comprehension.
