“I’ll have the upper hand in a relationship if I earn more than him,” says Ayra Starr

The singer Ayra Starr has expressed her views on the impact of financial differences in relationships, stating that if she were to date a man who is less wealthy, she would find herself in a controlling position.

During an episode of the Wahala podcast, the ‘Bloody Samaritan’ star mentioned that her partner would still be expected to contribute financially, regardless of her greater wealth.

She further explained that she would keep her financial situation private and not reveal her wealth to him.

“If I’m in a relationship with a man who has less money than I do, I will take charge. However, even if I have more, he should still be the one providing, and I won’t disclose my financial status to him,” she stated.

Ayra Starr’s comments have generated a variety of responses, with some agreeing that it is traditionally a man’s role to provide, while others criticized her for considering to conceal her financial situation from a future partner if she earns more than him.
