Tolu Arokodare, a striker for the Super Eagles, is a contender for the August Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award.
For his outstanding goal in Ajax’s UEFA Europa Conference League match against Sion, Arokodare was nominated.
Five minutes after halftime, the striker scored his second goal of the match.
During the month, the 25-year-old scored four goals for the Eredivisie powerhouses.
The other players nominated for the honour are Julian Brandt, Abdellah Ouazane, Anton Gaaei, and Pharrell Nash.
Davy Klaassen, Oliver Edvardsen, Emre Ánüvar, Diego Pugno, and Isa Benyahia are the other contenders.
Arokodare is on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers of the Sky Bet Championship to Ajax for the duration of the season.
