An operation in Sokoto State’s Tangaza Local Government Area resulted in the seizure of firearms and ammunition and the arrest of three alleged bandits.<\/p>\n
Security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed the news in a post she made on X on Friday. After receiving intelligence inputs regarding a planned attack in the area, the suspects were apprehended approximately 10:00 a.m. on April 29 near the Tangaza-Gidan Madi route, according to the post.<\/p>\n
Aliyu Bello, 30, Dahiru Umar, 25, and Bashar Isah, 29, all identified as residents of Kwazari village in Kware Local Government Area, were apprehended, he said.<\/p>\n
Their alleged involvement in kidnapping and the collection of illicit levies from communities led to their apprehension and possible interception while riding a motorbike.<\/p>\n
According to Makama, the items found on the individuals include an AK-47 rifle that was built in the area, a magazine holding seventeen rounds of ammo, two firearms from Denmark, two cartridges, and other charms.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the suspects tried to evade capture by concealing the guns in a sack inside another bag.<\/p>\n
