Customers in Adamawa reportedly vandalize the PXES office due to issues with fund withdrawals

The Yola branch of PXES, an international investment firm, has been closed following an alleged attack by frustrated customers.

PXES, which stands for Professionalism Excellence Evolution Solution, is a savings platform where clients can invest amounts ranging from N21,600 to over N3 million, depending on their selected plan, and receive daily returns that allow them to recover their full investment in under two months.

Tensions escalated among customers in Adamawa State, leading to an attack on the Yola office where furniture and equipment were taken.

Footynaija reported on Saturday afternoon that the customers, facing difficulties in withdrawing their funds, suspected wrongdoing and expressed their frustration at the office.

According to sources, the incident took place on Friday afternoon.

A local resident familiar with PXES operations noted that the customers’ frustration was justified, as Friday is the designated day for those in the lower tiers, specifically Level 1 and Level 2, to withdraw their weekly earnings.

While several videos circulating on social media depicted chaotic scenes outside the PXES Yola office, the aftermath was evident as the office remained locked on Saturday, which is unusual since it typically serves customers even on Sundays.

The police were unable to verify the attack when reached for comment before this report was completed shortly after 3:30 pm on Saturday.
