Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has charged Engr. Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, who is the director general of media and communications, with the crime. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, was accused by Buba Galadima of being involved in his political defeats.
Galadima has stayed relevant by supporting various presidential candidates over the years without making a significant political impact, according to Bature, who described him as a “political hanger-on” during a radio program in Kano.
He asserted that the previous governor’s political influence had been diminished due to Galadima’s friendship with Kwankwaso. He said that the former governor’s career in politics had been marred by frequent party defections.
Galadima, according to Bature, let down former president Muhammadu Buhari in his failed presidential campaigns.
He claimed that Buhari’s electoral success and re-election were the result of Buhari’s decision to distance himself from Galadima and form an alliance with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Additionally, he claimed that Kwankwaso had not reflected on or benefited from Buhari’s mistakes.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, President Tinubu, and Kwankwaso were among the leaders with whom Galadima maintained political ties simultaneously, he added.
Bature cast doubt on Galadima’s political clout, claiming that the former Yobe State governor relied on patronage in Abuja rather than establishing a strong foundation in his hometown of Bade.
