Head coach Vítor Pereira has stated that Ola Aina’s participation in Nottingham Forest’s upcoming match against Aston Villa is uncertain, as reported by the footynaija.
Aina was helped off the pitch during last week’s first leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final match.
The full-back will recover in time for the rematch, according to Pereira, who spoke confidently after the game.
During his Wednesday press conference, the Portuguese coach did not guarantee that the Nigeria international would be able to play in Thursday’s match.
According to the club’s official website, Pereira said, “We have a lot of doubts with players but we cannot have doubts around the spirit, what we want and our belief.”
With a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, Nottingham Forest will be looking to defend it.
