Al-Hadeed Private School in Inusawa town has been ordered to close till further notice by Hon. Tijjani Amiru Bilyaminu, the Chairman of Ungogo Local Government Area.
Malam Abdullahi Wakili, the Ungogo Local Government’s Education Councillor, announced the decision in a statement on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The statement claims that the action was taken in response to claims that a school teacher had sexually assaulted four female students who were underage.
The head of the local government declared that after the accused teacher is arraigned in court, justice will be rendered for the victims by ensuring that the teacher is prosecuted according to the law.
The Ungogo Local Government reiterated its dedication to upholding children’s rights and taking the necessary steps to stop future occurrences of this kind.
Uncle Kamal, the teacher, has already been charged with rape in a Magistrate Court in No-man’s Land, Kano.
The judge postponed the case to June 9, 2026, and placed him under remand in a penitentiary facility.
