In a post on X on Tuesday, presidential spokesperson Daniel Bwala accused Rufai Oseni of distorting his remarks and promoting what he called “lies and blackmail.”
Bwala’s response came after Oseni brought up Bwala’s December 2023 statement that “even if you give APC 30 years, nothing will work” during the “What’s Trending” portion of Arise News’ The Morning Show. Bwala was Atiku Abubakar’s spokeswoman at the time.
During the TV program, Oseni bemoaned the nation’s growing insecurity and the APC-led government’s lacklustre response to the threat.
Bwala, however, claimed on X that Oseni had purposefully misrepresented his comments and accused the journalist of being biased.
The presidential spokesperson claimed the Arise TV anchor was promoting a partisan narrative and using harsh language to attack him.
“This liar and Peter Obi propagandist is here again spewing lies and quoting what I never said surreptitiously to push his fake news agenda of blackmail and hate vitriol,” stated Bwala.
“When everyone understands that the grownup toddler is an unofficial spokeswoman for Peter Obi posing as a journalist, he has lost the moral right to talk as an impartial.
He is unaware that pretending to be a journalist when you are not one is akin to a doctor practicing surgery. animal care. In the opinion of Mr. Olayinka, “you should be doing documentaries on animals” rather than fake news journalism. It is pitiful.
