Niger State’s CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman and the Nigerian Army’s newly-deployed 31 Artillery Brigade Commander, Brig. Gen. K. Rabiu has promised to address the state’s security concerns by stepping up intelligence sharing and cooperative security operations.
They committed on Thursday when Brig. After being deployed as Commander of the 31 Artillery Brigade, Gen. Rabiu visited the Niger State Police Command Headquarters in Dutsen-Kura, Minna, as a courtesy visit.
To officially present himself and to enhance the existing working connection between the Nigerian Army and the Police, Rabiu remarked during his visit.
In order to tackle insecurity in Niger State and the country as a whole, he stressed the importance of better intelligence sharing, coordinated operations, and more inter-agency cooperation.
Additionally, the Brigade Commander emphasised the need of the Police Command’s ongoing cooperation, stating that the Police are the primary agency responsible for internal security.
He emphasised the need of sharing useful information on a regular basis to boost operational efficiency and respond quickly to security risks.
Rabiu urged the officers of both security forces to continue working together and thanked the Commissioner of Police for his assistance during his predecessor’s farewell.
In response, CP Elleman conveyed his gratitude to the newly appointed Brigade Commander and voiced his optimism that the deployment of this individual would serve to fortify the already robust partnership between the state’s police and the Nigerian Army.
He praised the 31 Artillery Brigade for their ongoing assistance for police operations across Niger State and recognised Brig. Gen. Rabiu as an experienced and professional leader.
Recognising that no one security agency could adequately handle the nation’s security threats on its own, the police commissioner reiterated the Command’s dedication to improved intelligence sharing and collaborative operations.
With the hope that continued cooperation among security services will drastically lessen insecurity and make lives and property safer across Niger State, Elleman promised the Brigade Commander of the Command’s complete cooperation.
