Al-Nassr, behemoths of the Saudi Pro League, have made their summer transfer window debut with the acquisition of Samu Costa, a Portugal international.
Along with Cristiano Ronaldo, who captains the national team, Costa will join the club as they aim to defend the league title they won last season.
Taking over for Marcelo Brozovic, who departed the club earlier this summer as a free agent, Costa is anticipated to have a substantial impact on the Knights of Najd.
Costa became well-known in Almeria before transferring to Real Mallorca in 2023.
Reports began circulating in July of last year that a deal had been reached for the 25-year-old defensive midfielder to switch to Ronaldo’s team for €9 million after he demonstrated his talent last year.
Due to a summer budget crunch, the Knights of Najd were unable to add any new players to their roster.
Thankfully, they have taken care of some money matters recently, so they can formally finalise Samu Costa’s deal.
Costa, a Portuguese star clad as a knight, was featured on Al-official Nassr’s X page, which announced the deal.
