A report alleging that IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu ordered the start of training for recently hired Constables has been denied by the Nigeria Police Force.
According to a recent social media story, the alleged training was intended for 50,000 recently hired constables.
The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, was identified as the issuer of the report that is presently in circulation.
The NPF maintained the story is untrue and did not originate from the Force in a statement released by CSP Iniedu.
“The Nigeria Police Force did not issue or authorise the paper, which is untrue. It is recommended that the public, especially candidates for police recruitment, ignore its contents and depend solely on material released via the official police recruitment portal and validated NPF communication channels, according to the statement.
“The Force will take appropriate legal action against those found culpable and is currently pursuing those responsible for creating and disseminating the false document.”
