Moises Caicedo has been named by Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior as the world’s top defensive midfielder.
Before Sunday’s Premier League match at Stamford Bridge against Manchester City, Rosenior was effusive in his admiration of the Ecuadorian midfielder.
His praise for Caicedo was based on the footballer’s technical brilliance, physical dominance, and smart mind.
In his pre-match press conference, Rosenior stated, “In my opinion, he is one of the best defensive midfield players in the world football, if not the best”.
All of these things—his brains, his body, his technical skill, and his game knowledge. When we play Manchester City on Sunday, he will be a tremendous help to us.
