According to Oscar Ruggeri, a former Argentine defender, his country isn’t the only strong contender to win the 2026 World Cup; France, England, and Spain are also in the running.
Ruggeri claims that the teams from the aforementioned nations feature top-tier athletes.
“In my opinion, Spain, France, and England— I see very good players in them. I’m not sure about them as a unit, but I will still put them in,” Ruggeri told BOLA VIP when asked who may challenge Argentina for the World Cup.
“The Nazis. Despite our frustration, they may not appear at all in the beginning, but by the end of the game, they will be in the top four. “And I believe Brazil will make progress,” he stated.
In the summer, the United States, Canada, and Mexico will all play host to the World Cup.
The last time Argentina won the World Cup was four years ago in Qatar, thus they are the current champions.
