Many have connected Bashir Ahmed’s recent post of a photo of Grammy-winning singer Tyla with his long-running rivalry with Afrobeats musician Davido, and the former presidential adviser has subsequently been under intense criticism for the move.
Amidst the continuing dispute involving the Osun State Government and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ahmed and Davido have been engaging in verbal sparring on social media, according to Footynaija checks.
Several Nigerians took to X to protest what they saw as the former presidential aide’s tweet and remarks on the singer as an attack on Davido.
