Foreign talents invited for Falconets rematch as Malawi invites U-20 WWCQ

According to footynaija, Maggie Chombo, head coach of the Malawi U-20 women’s national team, has selected Faith Chinzimu and Rose Kabzere, who are now residing abroad, to face the Falconets of Nigeria.

On Saturday, Bingu National Stadium will host the 2nd leg of the last qualifying round for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. The first leg was played last weekend at Ikenne, South Africa, where Malawi lost by a score of 2-0.

Currently, BK Häcken FF of Sweden is employing versatile midfielder Chinzimu. The 19-year-old played a role in BK Häcken’s 2025–26 Women’s Europa League championship team.

While the other invitee is away, Kabzere is now on the pitch for Montpellier in France. This would be Malawi’s first appearance in the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
