Romano: Perez to choose Real Madrid’s next coach; rapport with Mourinho top-notch

According to football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will choose the club’s new manager soon, after rumours began circulating that Jose Mourinho was interested in a return to Real Madrid.

There has been mounting talk that Mourinho may be returning to the Spanish capital, and this news comes as no surprise.

In a Facebook post, Romano gave an update on the situation and said that Perez and Mourinho have a “absolutely excellent” relationship. Mourinho is still in the running.

There are three other contenders being examined to succeed current manager Alvaro Arbeloa, so it’s not just the ex-Manchester United and Chelsea boss on the list.

Since Arbeloa is set to depart Real Madrid at the season’s end, the club is moving swiftly to find a long-term replacement. The new coach of Real Madrid will be chosen personally by Florentino Perez.

The chemistry between Mourinho and Perez is second to none. Which means Mourinho is definitely up for the job. There are three further contenders besides him.
