The peace talks between Iran and the US have been characterised by controversial Islamic scholar Ahmad Gumi as a meeting of enemies.
According to Gumi, the United States is the greatest evil, while the Islamic Republic is seen by the United States as part of the “axis of evil.”
In his commentary on US-Iran ties, the Islamic scholar made the comments, pointing out that the two countries are still in negotiations despite their intense animosity.
“Talks of peace between adversaries. Iran views the United States as its greatest enemy. The United States considers Iran to be an evil axis state.
Each side views the other as an enemy of the state. They are, however, seated around a circular table. We do not engage in communication with terrorists, so stop telling me that nonsense, he admonished.
