No power on Earth could halt the Nigerian revolution, according to Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC).
The Abuja Federal High Court granted Sowore a bail of N200 million, and he immediately made a statement claiming that the authorities had always wanted his passport.
Returning to the Kuje Correctional Centre, the human rights campaigner will remain there until his parole terms are fully met.
According to Footynaija, Sowore was granted bail by Justice Mohammed Umar, but only under strict terms. These include the requirement that he post bail with two sureties, one of whom must be a traditional ruler from his native village and the other a property owner from Abuja. Additionally, Sowore was ordered to surrender his international passport.
The activist’s indictment and prosecution for allegedly referring to President Bola Tinubu as a criminal occurred on June 22, 2026, and he has been in custody since then.
“This revolution can’t be stopped by any force on this planet. Unfortunately, our warnings went unheeded. The bail amount was set at N200 million. Their focus has consistently been on my passport. He promised to cross the bridge when the time came.
